SORROW

the first day

you came into my life

was a beautiful day.

together we created

nourished

a friendship that grew.

into a love so vast.

it engulfed every aspect

of my life.

i've known with you

the greatest joy,

you have given to me

far more than I am worthy of.

i asked for your life

i asked for your being,

you said yes.

in return I have given

to you,

the greatest sorrow

you've ever known.

there is no excuse,

there is no recourse,

there is only,

sorrow.

Found me railing

Against an unfair systems

Of checked balances.



As a young man

Found me walking for days

Trying to catch

Those mirages and

Always finding nothing.



Now you are gone

Find me growing old too soon

From chasing shadows

Into holes

Where I cant go.
