April Showers
through the door she comes
back from a trip
to town.
that special twinkle
in her eye,
when she sees...
ya,
you know the one,
lights up the room...
which allows her
to see,
exactly.
what have you...
been doing
while she was in town.
women have this thing,
about mud on kitchen floors.
all seems natural to me,
the mud on the floor,
that is
course then again i am a guy.
maybe,
if i got it
cleaned up sooner,
all she'd notice
is the rose garden,
weeded.

that is why i ask everyone to take their shoes off before entering my house when the weather is wet...no mud on the floor!
