Chain

Chain

into a puddle

 She melted

   awaiting key lime

 pie tin

at the base

lyrically

  lilting

   laughter

 like so many drops

trickled down

   blurp

    &

     glurp

  dribbled down

 the rain chain

    copper

  proper the

   ebb and flow

of a new

  life’s

   beginning

 in the pelting

rain he still

 advances the search

   food for thought

  denied a soulful

connective

  tissue

    starving at the fringes

   irrationality imposing

 a clarity of

mired thought

  exercises

    in you

   makes me smile

 like the drops wending

  down the rain chain

  1. This has so many layers...the more time I spend with it...another one reveals itself. I am smiling.

  3. I like the image of the rain chain, and the food images might have inspired me to go make a lemon merangue pie.
